Tips for Videotaping classes
From Eduwiki
1. Always obtain permission to videotape children from the school and parents before you record anything!
2. Depending on your purpose for filming, set up your camera accordingly:
-To record the class, make sure you're not filming the back of their heads. Quality film shows the students working, and their faces!
-To record yourself, set up the camera in the back of the class and point it towards where you will be standing.
3. To record the students without their knowledge... set up the camera on the tripod a few dayss prior to recording your desired lesson. That way students will get used to the idea of having the camera there and you'll be more likely to capture real footage of them.
4. Always check your volume settings and know how close you need to be to the sound source if you have to capture audio as well.
