Soundscape - hypothesis

Playing music in the classroom may:
- provide a cue for students to get to work – calm students as they enter class
- increase participation/motivation
- create happier students
- help students learn through songs – skills (signing) culture, history
- make the students talk quieter or louder (not sure which way it would work)
- score higher on math or other complex subjects (Mozart effect)
- take off headphones
