Work + Education + Health equals Happiness
by Mehmet
I sent the two adults and the older child to work and the two kids to school during the school year. I let the kids work in the family farm in the summer. I also took care of them when they were sick by sending them to hospital or local clinic depending on the seriousness of the sickness. Another good strategy I used was to buy a bicycle so the dad could get the highest paying job, construction worker(when available). This way the family had enough money for everything and saved up about 600 Gouds at the end of year 1 and about 330 at the end of year 2.
You need to balance everything
I found that we needed money before we could afford education. I sent most to work, and the youngest kept helping with the volunteer work. This helped to build a library which educates the whole family frequently later. Then, after we had built a little money, we could send some of the children to school while keeping up the adults working (with bicycle once and with dad at vocational school once) a child doing volunteer work and the others trading off learning and working. I also had to maintain the health of the family by sending them to the clinic when there was enough money (one at a time). I ended one full four years with 1276 gould, everyone lived, all lived an "ok" life, with okay health some education and the possibility to get better jobs with a bright or better future than they had as children.
